Goodwill Hunting Co.’s 2019 Kakadu Adventure is a fundraising and physical challenge that 16 amazing Northern Beaches women have taken on with the aim to collectively raise $15,000. The group are preparing to trek through Australia’s iconic Kakadu National Park whilst supporting Community Northern Beaches and their work helping women escaping domestic violence and Starwin, a Darwin-based group, who fund mentorships for young ladies from the Tiwi Islands.
Over the next few months leading up to our Kakadu Adventure in September, our group of trekkers are working hard on their fundraising. Often the most challenging part of an event like this, trying to reach your fundraising target can feel overwhelming, especially to a first-timer. However, on a Goodwill Hunting Co. adventure challenge, we have our team covered as we provide really practical, hands-on support to help each participant maximise their skills and networks to achieve their goal. Our team have realistic targets, get online support, take part in team fundraising events and know that expert fundraising advice is just a phone call away.
For the adventure part of our challenge, Goodwill Hunting Co. has partnered with Intrepid Travel to come up with an amazing itinerary that will not only showcase the most stunning scenery Australia’s Top End has to offer but also physically test our trekkers. Over two 6 hour days of strenuous walking and at times clambering in the NT humidity to some of Kakadu’s best waterfalls and watering holes and two nights camping in the bush, these women will be taken out of their comfort zone, pushing themselves physically and mentally to complete the challenge. Their aching muscles will fade but the friendships and memories made will last a lifetime!
